Dear Dr Duck,
My mate Barry reckons he can fish for days - only coming to the surface for the odd chuff now and again. Whenever I try I find it very difficult to hold my breath for very long - and usually end up beak first in the mud with my butt in the air and surrounded by a frisky gaggle of geese - who as you know get easily arroused by tail feathers.
Tell me where I'm going wrong ?

For starters, all you need to give geese the horn is a heart beat !! and I'm talking from experience !! I had one in my surgery the other day and it took my receptionist, Miss Mallard half an hour just to clean the feathers up !! I find, when cornered by geese the best form of defense is attack, preferably with the beak. Don't let them get the better of you or you'll be walking with the tentative steps of a flamingo for the rest of the week. As for your mate Barry, well. All I can say is we all wish we could fish forever but reality says uh uh - no way. Not without the aid of bulky and quite frankly expensive SCUBA gear.
